Bruce Peninsula National Park

1 Reviews

A scenic national park owned and operated by Parks Canada, located on a part of Niagara escarpment overlooking Georgian Bay. The park is very popular among day visitors and tourists who come to enjoy the picturesque Grotto and enjoy a visit to near by Flower pot islands.

Great park for camping and hiking, but expect a lot of tourists
Our family have been to the park a couple of times, I have stayed in the yurt, tent camped in one of their campgrounds. Pros: The park is great as it offers many choices for hikes and the Georgian bay offers many scenic views. I love staying in one of their yurts in Cyprus Lake, they are situated close to the lake and is very beautiful in calm mornings. You can also visit near by Tobermory for fresh fish and chips. If you stay longer, you can also visit near by Flowerpot islands for a day trip and hiking. There is so much to do, that's what makes it so special. Cons: The park is very popular among day visitors (most of them from Toronto). The hiking trails and grotto swimming area can get really buys on weekends. If its weekday, it should be okay
