Wasaga Beach Provincial Park

About the Park

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is unique since it is located within the boundaries of the town as a day-use park. Its parabolic dune system is the largest in Ontario. Rare plants and animals such as the Piping Plover and Eastern Hognose Snake find refuge in the park. The beach areas are numbered starting at the east end by the river mouth. All beach areas have washrooms, picnic areas and bike paths. The east beach areas are generally the busiest and the more westerly beaches are quieter and more suitable for children. Non-swimmers can borrow personal flotation vests at park gatehouses.

great for the day
When I was small, this place had camping, and it was fun to go here. Now it is a day beach, but it's the best beach. I was there a couple years ago, and it brought back good memories. The beach is so nice and the water is often shallow for quite a distance. great for smaller kids. there are lots of picnic areas here and public washrooms.

One of the best beaches you can find in all of Ontario
This is not your typical Ontario park that you go for camping but it has one of the best beaches in all of Ontario (only other beach that comes close is Sandbanks) The beach is shallow, and on sunny days its warm and absolutely enjoyable for swimming. There are picnic areas nearby with bbq pit - first come first served basis Tip: Try to visit the park during a weekday in Summery. you will have a wonderful day. Try to avoid the park during weekends, it gets really really crowded
