Hardwood Hill Campground, Bon Echo

About the Campground

Hardwood Hill Campground is one of the two developed campgrounds in Bon Echo Provincial Park. The campground is surrounded by dense maple and beech trees which makes it a good choice for Fall camping. The campground can accommodate tent camping and tent-trailers. The campground does not offer electrical hook ups and is also radio free. If you need, electrical hookup for your trailer, then consider Mazinaw Lake campground.

Hardwood Hill Campground is a better choice for those who prefer secluded sites. If you want to be closer to the beach and Canoeing, then Mazinaw Lake will be a better choice for you.

Quiet, away from beaches, good privacy
It's a bit of a drive into the beach but otherwise it's amazing. If you want privacy and quiet this is the campground. We used the other campgrounds, beach etc as like "day trips", happy to return back to our secluded site at the end of the day.

Lovely park but no park store
My family absolutely loves this park. There are a number of beaches to choose from and not to mention a beach for our dogs. One thing that is surprisingly missing is a store to get some ice for our coolers, treats for kids, worms and ice cream. They could make extra money for the park but unfortunately we have to leave the park and go down the road to buy this stuff. I'd much rather walk to a place in the park than drive 15 minutes
