Riverside-Cedar Campground, St. Lawrence Parks

3 Reviews 13180 Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Road 2, Morrisburg, ON K0C 1X0

About the Campground

Riverside-Cedar is St. Lawrence Park’s largest campground offering 301 campsites and five cabins. The cabins are nestled around a picturesque little inlet that also offers recreational opportunities like canoeing and fishing.

There are three sections in the campground

  1. Cedar
  2. Riverside East
  3. Riverside West

Cedar sites have good shade with mature trees, this section also has some great waterfront sites if you are lucky to get availability. Riverside East is the closes to the park office and the sites are very open and with less privacy, this section is popular among RV campers. Riverside East also houses the five cabins. Riverside West has both open and shaded sites, a few waterfront sites as well

Beach wasn’t open when we went due to bacteria in the water. Otherwise it’s a decent campground but I would prefer to go with one of the campgrounds along the Long Sault Parkway

Family friendly campground with some waterfront sites
Great family friendly campground with some nice waterfront sites. There are three sections, each has differnet characteristics. You need to be clear on what you are choosing. Cedar campground has some shades and some nice waterfront sites that I would love to camp next time. Riverside East has mostly open sunny sites with less privacy. Riverside West has shaded sites. Overall its a good campground with lots of choices. It would be great if washrooms are renovated If you are new to the area, make sure to check out "Upper Canada Village" which is a great historical village well managed by Parks of St Lawrence Commission

Cabin stay
We stayed at the Chickadee cabin at Riverside-Cedar campground. The cabin stay was great. The cabin had refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner and a bbq machine. Washrooms are common and there is a separate water pipe connection for each cabin , but outside the cabin. That’s helpful. Washrooms and shower are common amenities. The staff do a good job keeping the washrooms clean but it’s about time the park renovated the washrooms. They are old.
