About the Park
Timber Island Provincial Park is a non-operating park under the care of Ontario Parks. This 44 hectare nature reserve class park is located off the shore of Prince Edward County. A private landowner donated the island to the Crown, which was later regulated as a provincial park in 1985. This limestone island is an important part of the eastern Lake Ontario flyway, a biannual landing site for migratory birds. The park plays an important role in protecting Ontario’s biodiversity. The habitats and species it protects are sensitive. There are no facilities at this park. Please avoid travelling through this park except on existing trails.
