Lake of Two Rivers is one of the 12 developed campgrounds in Algonquin. The campground is located right on the Highway 60 that cuts across Algonquin. There are over 200 campsites nestled among White Pine trees. The campground offers both electrical and non-electrical sites, and has a beautiful beach. Because the campground is located right next to Highway60, some of the sites can be affected by traffic noise

Beautiful campground
We stayed for a week at lake of two rivers campground. Beautiful tall pines all around. Quiet and not too busy (early September) Washrooms were clean and campsites were decently large. Note watch for falling pine cones from the very tall trees. They fall fast enough to stick into the ground.

Could be a little noisy, but still a great campground
Lake of two rivers tends to be a little louder than some of the other campgrounds in Algonquin and is very open (less privacy). But it is still a great one and has a great beach, canoe launch with excellent swimming areas. There is a good size separate dog beach on the far side of the boats area. Watch out for bears, the week we went had a lot of bear activity. And please store your food in a very responsible manner Pros: - Beach - Large sites Cons: - Site privacy - Since its located close to Hwy 60, some sites could get very noisy from the traffic

Great campground, would recommend going on a weekday though
Great campground with an nice beach. Some of the campsites might not have enough privacy, especially the non electric ones buts we didn't mind that much. There are washrooms with showers. We went on a Thursday and spent two nights. Friday was much better but the weekend started getting crazy, would highly recommend camping on weekday, but I guess that applies for most of the parks and campgrounds now anyways. Overall a great campground that offers both electric and non-electric sites. No bears during our trip
