Rock Lake is one of the 12 developed campgrounds in Algonquin. Located about 8km south of Highway 60, it is also one of the farthest campgrounds from other attractions of the park. For those who prefer secluded camping spot, Rock lake is a great choice. Because it is located father from other parts of the park, you would need a vehicle. It is not easy to walk or bike to other spots in the park, especially some of the park’s popular trails. The campground is set in a predominantly pine forest setting and is open from April to October every year. This campground is not open in the Winter months. There is a campground office located on site for site permits and other support.
