About the Campground

Pog Lake is one of the 11 developed campgrounds in Algonquin. The campground is located on Highway 11, approximately 40 kms from West gate and 20 kms from East gate. The campground has three sections – A, B & C with a total of 286 campsites. Each section has a mix of electrical and non-electrical sites. Only thing to note is that the eastern most loop of the Section A (sites 201-232) do not allow pets and audio devices. So, if you prefer a quiet place to unwind, choose these sites

Beach – Pog Lake has a nice beach nestled in the centre easily accessible from Section A & B. Pets are not allowed in the beach

Pog Lake, Campground A, Site: 152
Stayed here for a weekend and loved the site. It was very private, separated from the road by a hill. Tent was pitched far into the site, overlooking a small inlet where you can hear all kinds of wildlife. Would highly recommend.

Didn’t disappoint
We stayed at Pog Lake for 2 weeks and it was perfect. It was July and we expected lots of bugs but hardly any. The park is well kept. Going kayaking was very easy to access. We would stay here again for sure!

Pog Lake
We stayed at Pog Lake campground A in August. It was a wonderful site quite and large, It backed onto the lake which was nice for canoeing. We also don't go to the beach to swim we just swam from out site. If you like a quiter site during the day stay away from the beach area. But at night it was nice and quiet.

Algonquin Parks Pog Lake campground "C"
Pog Lake campground is part of the Algonquin Parks Hwy 60 campgrounds corridor. We've stayed in a number of sites in Pog Lake Campground (CG) "C" over the years. All the sites are large, especially for tent campers like us. The comfort station is as clean can be expected. Access to the Madawaska River is easily accessible for canoes/kayaks, as well as the hiking/biking Rail Trail. The swimming beach in CG "C" is clean and the sand exceptional and the views amazing. There are plenty of well maintained trails within a few minutes driving of PogLakecampground. If you're lucky you might see a bear or moose when driving. I highly recommend Pog Lake campground "C", we will definitely be returning!
